giveaway day!

since i am a busy mom with three young boys i have barely even made it through 1/4 of the giveaways. so.... i decided to extend to deadline to saturday morning! also to clarify the giveaway just includes one house. i said that below but i just wanted to make sure it was clear.

its giveaway day on sew mama sew today and i thought i would join in the fun! i am opening an etsy store in February and i wanted to promote my blog and get the word out. i will also be having another giveaway in January so check back. enough yakking back to the good stuff. i will be giving away one of these retro glitter houses away! my grandma, mom and i decided this year that we wanted to create some special decorations that would last a long time and be our own personal style. these darling glitter houses are made from mostly recycled materials and are about 4 inches tall. there will also be a surprise bonus gift! i will use a random generator to choose the winner .you have until tomorrow morining some time. all you have to do is leave a comment telling me what your favorite Christmas or holiday activityto do with small children is. only one comment please. spread the word. and sorry but no international shipping addresses will be accepted this round, next time they will be so check back. check out more giveaways Here. thanks so much to sew mama sew for their great blog and store.
* sorry for the less than stellar pictures, i'm having camera issues.

That's lovely! My most favorite holiday activity would be knitting but baking cookies is a close second and sledding is a close third and drinking mint-cocoa is a close fourth... I'm so glad I found your blog!

Hmmm fav activity? Probably just sitting in my living room at night when the kids are asleep and it's all quiet and seeing the Christmas tree lights twinkle. And also wrapping presents:) Oh and hearing the kids squeal with delight when they see a really cool yard decorated!!

Making gingerbread cookies with kids is the best, mine can't control gorging themselves on the dough so we're make cinnamon ornaments this year (you won't want to eat that dough). Here is a recipe for it: http://crafts.kaboose.com/cinnamon-dough-ornaments.html

When the weather turns cold, I crave knitting :u) My daughter is just 11 mo, so I don't have much of a wealth of kid-friendly holiday activities - whenever we do "activities" together, it usually ends up with her just putting everything in her mouth, or dropping it on the floor. Or "unpacking" it. She's pretty good at that! :u) She does love music though. Maybe I'll get out our Christmas music today and we can rock together.

Well, since my first son is only two then we haven't had many holiday events, but so far this year is making and decorating cookies. He gets so messy and just giggles the whole time.

Oh how we loved taking our little kids to look at Christmas lights. We still love going even though my "little" kids are 20,19,16 and 13!
Happy Holidays.

Oh, those are beautiful! My favorite holiday activity to do with a child is - at least this year - decorating gingerbread houses. My daughter and I just used a graham cracker house, I frosted it, and she had such fun sticking all the candies on it. More candy ended up in her mouth than on the house, but that's all part of the fun.

Gingerbread houses, sugar cookies, hot chocolate well I don't get to enjoy hot chocolate yet seeing how it is still so darn hot here. I love the houses though.
